Re: JP´s Books Thread

All of Dan Brown's works, esp. Da Vinci Code. My all time favorite author though is Mark Twain.

...The same is true of "Exodus", (the original Leon Uris version, four years earlier). Many of the fictional characters represent several real people each, and one fictional skirmish represents a real incident about 20 years earlier, with French and British forces playing each other's roles.

Harold I have read a couple books by Leon Uris. I cannot recall the names, but I know one of them was about Ireland and a character was named Conner. He was part of the IRA I think and he told his girl he would have her name on his lips when he died. Well he did die and as he did he said "Daddy..daddy..Addy...Addy (his girl's name). I cried.

If I remembered incorrectly, please forgive me biggrin

.... Trinity.

Try to get a copy of Harry Mulisch book 'The Discovery of Heaven' translated to english. Rated in one review as Nobel prize worthy. Angels sent on mission to earth to retrieve the tablets after the cancellation of the contract held in the 10 commandments. The boss is severely disgruntled. 900 pages in the print I have.
