errors on Influenza WUs ?

One of my computers, working in my absence uploaded 3 WUs for Influeza project whiche happened to be in error :

flu10701p0882_ 100251_ 0-- ar-4aioqqlmuqoy Erreur 01/09/09 18:20:14 02/09/09 05:52:07 0,00 0,0 / 0,0
flu10701o0836_ 100186_ 0-- ar-4aioqqlmuqoy Erreur 01/09/09 00:27:06 02/09/09 05:52:07 0,00 0,0 / 0,0
flu10701o0797_ 100247_ 0-- ar-4aioqqlmuqoy Erreur 31/08/09 09:20:51 02/09/09 05:52:07 0,00 0,0 / 0,0

Is there something wrong with the computer, which works normally, for other projects (and other softwares) or with a batch of flu WUs ?

If you click on the Erreur link, what does it say? Please post a copy here. Certainly the results indicate zero processing time. The reporting times suggesting it happened within a very short period... maybe seconds.

Re: errors on Influenza WUs ?

My best French indicates the process was waiting in vain.

exit code 128 (0x80) according BFS:
http://boincfaq.mundayweb.com/index.php?view=69

If you encounter an error called Unrecoverable error for result "result" (There are no child processes to wait for. (0x80) - exit code 128 (0x80)), your DirectX version is out of date.

Please update your DirectX version through Windows Update, or get it from here. (55.6MB)

One other possible cause for this is when the programmer of the application has used .NET technology to make his application. Then you need to install .NET on your computer. It's only available to Windows computers and then only to Windows 2000 and above.

So if you encounter this error after you updated your DirectX to the latest available version, post about it on that project's forums and ask if they used .NET to make their application.

I very much doubt .NET was used in any way. Did you boot the machine and did it recently have updates?

edit: with so close to the phase end, doubt anything much can be done on the science application side. The error rate is very low.
