Re: Another upload error

Uploads seem to have restarted, and the speed of each thread on my end is somewhere between 16 KBps and 24 KBps.

Re: Another upload error

Well, since this thread was hijacked for the 'server not accepting *_4 file (the big ones) results files' error, I guess I WON'T make a new thread for it.

By the way, Sprint seems to think you're running a file sharing operation through Harvard, and they keep disconnecting me only when I try to upload results for this task.

Re: Another upload error

Think you can kind of improve what WCG hears from the BOINC client for the upload/download values by setting in the cc_config.xml how many concurrent file transfers can take place. I'm getting now 3x37kbps (I've long time ago upped the default of 2). Not sure though if a limit to 1 or 2 would cause it to go faster. Any takers from the experience front?

Re: Another upload error - the Big _0_4 files not transfering.

The OP puts in a piece of log only showing the _0_4 files, so no, think we got ample threads now on the upload/download issues. The thread opener could augment the title a bit to emphasize where the shoe wrings, in fact, a [RESOLVED] might soon be in order as all the outstanding transfers here (5) have now cleared).

Happy Crunching.

Uploads and Downloads are now working!
Perhaps that anouncement needs an update, and as you suggest this thread needs a [Resolved].

Re: Another upload error - the Big _0_4 files not transfering.

I have had the same error as the OP since yesterday. Two other WUs finished and uploaded once the servers were up. However, this WU is back to the same error.

I do not think this is fixed. I have two stuck in tranfer and everything else seems to be working.

Re: Another upload error - the Big _0_4 files not transfering.

mclaver, I was able to test the server and my machines are uploading the large file back. But you are having an issue returning the 3rd and 4th file. These go to two different servers. So I am not sure what is going on there.

conflictingemotions, please give the error upload another try. A file handle could have been locked...so it may be released by now.

Same problems here (one minute ago):

On another box the upload works fine.

Re: Another upload error - the Big _0_4 files not transfering.

Pity this happened on a Friday!
Any chance new tasks can be released that will end up returning to the working servers? This could well be an internal routing issue at the return end, and the WCG techs would therefore have little control over it.
Hope it gets sorted or my Linux adventure will be more abrupt than anticipated.
