On new i7-840QM, I see an new "Connect every"

I see upon loading BOINC on my new i7-840QM, running 6.10.43 (no GPU) that the default "Connect every" is now 0.10.

Any suggestions about the necessity for "Additiional work buffer" ?
My i7-920 was quite problematic for keeping it in work at Connect every = 0.30 and i went to Additional work buffer of 2.0 for success.

Re: On new i7-840QM, I see an new "Connect every"

FWIW I have my "connect every" set to zero and my work buffer varies by project and machine from 1 day to 5 days on my i7-920
