Strange gap in results time.

I crunch maybe one to two CEII workunits per day. When I look at the results tab it shows, for example, that my last result was over 66 hours ago!!! And the bar graph of my reults has huge gaps in it, in spite of the fact that I get at least one unit done per day. Is this normal and if not, what might be causing this phenomenon? Thanks in advance!!!

Re: Strange gap in results time.

Hi Fredski. Even looking at validations it shows the same gaps in results. This raises the prospect that maybe my results are not correct for some reason, and therefore, not counting. If that is true it would be a first for all my projects. Maybe one of the support team can look at what is happening. Any takers?

Re: Strange gap in results time.

Could it be that you have two different accounts here and using two different computers and you are looking at a computer that crunches for different BOINC projects?

Re: Strange gap in results time.

Can't get anything to show for a "W.Q.P" account on BOINCStats to see a current history, but BOINC All Project Stats does, including those bi-daily gaps: http://www.allprojectstats.com/showuser.php?projekt=0&id=1726788

The history in daily credits is near bottom. If the WCG website Result Status page has no "In progress" tasks and the Results as completed on the client (names of completed result showing in Message Log) are not showing on the Result Status page, then those results are most likely completed under a different account, the exact name showing in the client Project tab (careful of any invisible spaces that may have erroneously been included during account creation).

WCG stats shows presently a last result some 11 hours ago, as of this writing, so one device must be doing something, the BOINC All project stats showing 5 with Vista and W7 Osses, but it could all be the same computer with multiple registrations... only 1 is returning results for the W.Q.P account.

A possible answer is, that 1 device is crunching part-time and not long enough to do multiple CEP2 checkpoints in a day. Then when each day the computer is started, the task starting from last checkpoint and so only 1 task completing every few days. The Result Status page has without a shadow of a doubt all work units listed that have not been completed, the status column telling what the outcome were for the most recent tasks, and any left in progress or gone with no reply. A full copy of the RS page WUs sorted by return date, unflitered and posted here will tell us much more than all the exchanges of speculation.

Re: Strange gap in results time.

GenuineIntel - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 940 @ 2.93GHz [Intel64 Family 6 Model 26 Stepping 4] is the only active system. Other systems included two i7-920’s, a skt 775 CPU and a mix of Win OS’s. Recent average credit is 85.54. No other projects have an active RAC.

Three simple posibilities:
The system is being shut down regularly and due to the limited checkpointing tasks have to start from the begining.
LAIM is not selected and While computer is in use is unticked.
Win7 is hibernating.

I better redact that last post:
