confused Weird error messages

This computer has recently been OC POSSIBLY a little too far, but I have never had ANY errors before on any machines (unless no heartbeat from CEP2 BUT

I have shut down the machine until I figure out what's going on. Tried searching, but with no luck.

EDIT: This is an AMD phenom 830 2.8 was pushed to 3.5GHz, and has been running stable with no errors for at least 2 weeks. Computer has not BSOD also. Also, before I started erroring out after roughly 15-30 seconds, some SN2S tasks made it several hours in, then they just started to consistently fail.

Re: Weird error messages

Interesting. The -1073740777 is novel to our forums [and Google worldwide]... the 195 is a known.

Re: Weird error messages

Definitely not a heat issue, and since it's been running same sciences it seems odd it would start acting weird now , but at any rate I'll bring it down a bit and see what happens.

EDIT

Temps are always below 45 on CPUs on all rigs and below 55 on gpus

So, it was at 3570, and brought it down to 3.5 Using FSB to OC. The only new message on startup is this

And it is running right now, will post if errors again

Re: Weird error messages

Something got *cooked* on your system. The on_frac is a number between 1.000000 and 0.000001 . Same for active_frac, 6 decimal positions.

Re: Weird error messages

Time keeping by BOINC is as a fraction of the day. 1.000000 is 24 hours. These control numbers however they occurred, and negative at that maybe suggests that the system clock went off or some other multiplier in your OC endeavours. At the very least, I'd stop BOINC and edit the client_state.xml where <on_frac> and <active_frac> are recorded and make them for instance 0.990000 (6 decimals). If there's no work on the system, stop BOINC, delete both the client_state files (the prev as well) from the BOINC data dir and start BOINC. That will generate a fresh client state file. New science apps will get pulled, or messages may appear that some file(s) are already on the system (in the project folder).

Re: Weird error messages

In client_state.xml, on_frac is .994149 and active is .999835. Should I still change them?

EDIT:

I think I may have to delete file as you suggested, because projects are still working fine (as far as I know, will have to wait until they finish to check results page), BUT the % complete is increasing roughly every 45 sec., and the time remaining steadily increases in seconds until that 45 sec mark hits, than it drops several minutes.

The task appear to be working as before i.e. 30% SN2S at a little over an hour, so I'm ASSUMING that there is a miscommunication occuring between my PC and Boinc for whatever reason "cooked" like you said?

So should I let me queue run dry if results are valid than delete .xml, then start Boinc again?

Very strange stuff (for me anyway) but I do love learning new things.

Re: Weird error messages

I don't see why the time increasing for 45 seconds and then dropping by a couple minutes is an issue. Certain project work units do that anyway. If it keeps dropping, that's a good thing - it's updating the time remaining each time it gets a chunk of data analyzed.
