No problems here on the left coast with U/D but the response time to the web server has been intermittantly slow. I think they must still be working with their hosting.

Well, there was something wrong.. I was getting "Upload pending (project backoff)" in the Transfer tab and messages indicating that "Internet OK, production servers down". I had to reset the computer to get it cleared. It seems that everything uploaded... waiting for the WUs to be validated to see if the they're ok.

My post on 27 Jun:
Uh oh, the last 2 tasks reported by me before the outage have turned to Error for both instances. Neither shows any problem in the Result Log or the Messages tab. Brilliant, both are now listed as Valid for all copies. been getting the UPload problem intermittently all day - the servers still have indigestion? or are they getting ready to blue screen again?

Actually, this was reported silently and 5000 were found to have suffered this faith just after the server online return, then passed through the validator again to get the thumbs up. The extra copies will have been "server aborted" once these clients who received the repairs would connect the server. A reason why I'm just *not* in a rush to start repair tasks and let then happily sit at end of the > 1 day buffer queue. Also to fix is the "server aborted" get logged on the RS pages as error ATM. We're not telling you everything... need to know basis ;o) --//-- |

Unfortunately we had some challenging moments today. We have narrowed things down to the the file manager for the GPFS software that we use. The file manager was running on one of the busier nodes and once we moved to a quieter node things improved significantly. We have some other changes around this that we will be working on in the next couple of weeks that should further address this issue. However, for now, things look to be more stable in the next configuration.

Is there server maintenance underway? My uploads have stopped.
