Yesterday's production stats has a new team in the top three:

RT 65:229:12:27:59; Pts 100,130,461; Res 327,280 in just 11 days since the team was formed!  Wikipedia Ripple is an open source protocol for a payment network based on an idea by Ryan Fugger, but further developed by Ripple Labs. A curious outfit, on a quick peruse many seemingly joining WCG and BOINC computing in general on the 15th/16th [the birthday], bit the actual first scores recorded on the 9th. The join list with dates: http://boincstats.com/en/stats/15/team/detail/30491/memberMovement. In there curious entries by some that have been idle for at least the last 40 days [on all their projects], like this example: http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/user/detail/655189/projectList

Ripple Labs have added >500 team members in the last week. Random sampling suggests these are also new to WCG.

They certainly have several users who do an impressive amount of work. It will be interesting to see how they may grow yet.

This team is all BS. if you look and the links below and click on their stats there are some that have no contribution since 2006 and have no current contributions this month. Has to be a hack.

I see they dumped the spam post - thank you techs. If there is a hack, how are they doing it and I would have thought the techs would have noticed this also. Would they be doing legitimate work, or faking the results ? Just curious.

This may explain how they got so big so fast. Looks like another bitcoin, litecoin, whatever operation. Should be interesting to see how long this lasts.

Did a little more searching and IMHO joining this team is not a good idea. From their site.
