Re: Data exports & status of Data Processing Agreement

Thank you for your info, jhindo.
It's a giant job for adjusting something that worked fine already.
Once again I apologize for the inconvenience
blushing
- and not least the ensuing lawyer fees sad

On the bright side, since it's IBM, it's most likely to be a lawyer from IBM corporate, who draws a salary whether they're working on this or something else.

Re: Data exports & status of Data Processing Agreement

Citizen422, you're probably right.
Some specialized out-of-house expertise
may have been/have to be consulted, though.
If in-house lawyers work on this,
they cannot work on other WUs if I may put it that way ...

Re: Data exports & status of Data Processing Agreement

Thanks for the update, jhindo .

Question: if I have already agreed to show my data in settings, will I be automagically opted in once the new regime is put in place? Or will I have to pretend to read the legalese and click on a new "I agree" button?

Thanks!

If you have already selected 'Display my data' in your profile settings, then your data will be automatically included in the data export files, once access to those files is enabled (to people who agree to the Data Processing Agreement being prepared).

I hope this answers your question!

Re: Data exports & status of Data Processing Agreement

jhindo,

When will you implement all users to be in statistics?
As from GDPR, some users have opted to be out of stats & they have "vanished"...& that does not show a "real picture"...
So when will you show hidden users in data, without revealing their identity (marking them as "hidden user")?

thanks,

Re: Data exports & status of Data Processing Agreement

It would be better if KLiK had given an example to prove his point. He didn't.

Trying to find a proof for KLiK, I stumbled across the following.

KLiK, listen, click this: Community (between News and My Contribution)
Then click: By Member
Next click: (Points Generated) All-Time,
then increase 50 records per page to 250,
then click next page.

The last user on that page, marky1124, should be ranked #500, right? (250 users per page, last user on second page ⇒ 2 x 250)
Well, surprise tongue , marky1124 is ranked #501 (if you click here).
So, there must be a user missing. Agreed?

On that same page, we go back to rank #438. There, between users orlneuro and DiogentP2P
    	orlneuro 334,038,769
DiogentP2P 333,198,099
someone must be missing, because orlneuro is ranked #437 and DiogentP2P is #439.

Re: Data exports & status of Data Processing Agreement

Recently I've read in some topic about missing members. Checked it, it was true.

Maybe that's why I got promoted to being in almost top1500 within last few days after GDPR. biggrin

So not only stats are BAD, they are also "non-readable". cool

Admins & Tachs should revert hidden members to have a "hidden user" name tag...so all stats would work & be OK.

Re: Data exports & status of Data Processing Agreement

I for one am sick of having no stats to look at. I have 300 cores@2.5-4.0 ghz, but I am going to put them on Rosetta soon, if I don't get my stats.

I don't care what the reason, FIX IT. Specifically, let free-dc stats have access to the data. I don't even know where else to get stats.

Generated (Rank) 281,074,604 (#558)

Re: Data exports & status of Data Processing Agreement

Hear hear. I don't have near your numbers, but once I reach 35 years run time and hit a particular 2 year badge, I'm leaving.

From projects that don't give updates, tasks that require hand holding, to a site which is unchanged in many years, doesn't give notices in a timely manner, and poorly implemented GDPR processes. As an ex-IBMer, this is a cluster.
