Oh Oh, when reading the release note, we'll be falling over each other to grab them... 8000 CPU years is limited issue to me, and the first I snagged 17:00:21 CET

I thought I was "All Projects" and "Opt in to New Projects" enabled but now it appears as I an NOT "All Projects" and HFCC is not selected either so this will make a slow start to this project, much less badge aquisition. Can anyone else confirm?

If you had the "opt me in to new projects" ticked, it will be. The script takes a while to populate all member profiles, last time it took quite some time.

Out of personal preference, I manually opt in and out of projects. So I manually selected HCCC and save. Immediately I went into my client and updated the projects and received some HCCC WU's. Fairly quick process that was.

HFCC to avoid confusion with HCC.
----------------------------------------Only the initial batches are short; later they'll be sized to the WCG mean target of 6 hours. See post -Uplinger http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=24767

Oh Oh, when reading the release note, we'll be falling over each other to grab them... 8000 CPU years is limited issue to me, and the first I snagged 17:00:21 CET Not wanting to spread panic or alarm among the badge-hunters, so a quick comparison point to note... Don't forget that CEP has only done 785 CPU years to date and DDDT is only just over 8,000 years so far, so it's not as if they will all get sucked up overnight and be gone in the morning - It's going to take some time to crunch through 8 CPU millennia. Most moderate crunchers should be able to grab a gold in that time. |
