HCC on Windows 7 RC?

Is anyone running HCC on the latest Windows 7 RC? If so, any problems?

Re: HCC on Windows 7 RC?

In my opinion, Windows 7 runs better than Vista PERIOD, minor issues aside. Just be aware that at the current time Windows 7 RC or any other 7 beta may not be fully supported by WCG.

Re: HCC on Windows 7 RC?

I have completely no troubles with Windows 7 and BOINC.
It has the same core as Vista, so there should be no difference

No problems with HCC or any of the other WCG-sub-projects, except HPF2 that trashed lots of wu's before disabled this sub-project. HPF2 did not behave this way under Vista, so Win7 must be different...

In case it matters, running 64-bit version, and BOINC-v6.6.28.

Re: HCC on Windows 7 RC?

Hi, I'm running Windows 7 (64-bit) and the BOINC Manager version 6.6.28 on a Intel Core I7 CPU 920. No problems at all with the BOINC manager or the HCC program!

Re: HCC on Windows 7 RC?

Somewhere a post was made that WCG themselves is running a Windows 7 test box in their labs. Think they purposely check all the sciences to make sure no hickups arise since when W7 public comes out. It's not unthinkable many will convert quickly [for free from Vista is rumoured].
