Re: BETA Clean Energy Project phase 2 version 6.33

Yup, got one for windows. Not trying to snag a Linux. Fast downloads of twice > 60MB files at 450KB speed... no issue there, plus a few smallies. Happens to come in on an alpha 6.12.2 client so this works as a double test.

Re: BETA Clean Energy Project phase 2 version 6.33

Got my usual problem of reporting insufficient bandwidth since I've been doing nothing but C4CW for ages. How does it get it so wrong (and what can I tweak?).

Re: BETA Clean Energy Project phase 2 version 6.33

Thanks for the info and link Uplinger - any idea of how many Betas are being fed into the system this time? I note the linked message refers to a SMALL beta trial.....so is it reasonable to assume it's likely to be only a few hundred WU's at best? I'd like to log a few more Beta hours if possible!!

Re: BETA Clean Energy Project phase 2 version 6.33

Some more info on File size for upload especially would be appreciated, incase I overcommit resources; on one system I am downloading one task - one download file is 60MB, two are 66MB and there are several smaller files.
Thanks,

Re: BETA Clean Energy Project phase 2 version 6.33

preliminary findings after 5% complete (job 2)

Windows (1 beta cep2, rest are c4cw): 3-17mins discrepancy

linux (1 beta cep2, rest are cep2): 1min discrepancy

with these data, i don't think limiting 1 per host can resolve the elapsed time and cpu time discrepancy

Re: BETA Clean Energy Project phase 2 version 6.33

Got a couple of tasks on different Windows systems (Vista, XP and hopefully W7 soon) and one on Kabuntu x64.
Download was 200MB for the windows platforms and 300MB for the Linux system.
Again, would like to know the upload sizes, as I may not want these on some systems.

Re: BETA Clean Energy Project phase 2 version 6.33

I have one on every machine now. Forced them all to start. Running at 97-99% CPU and showing 9hr completion. I see no noticiable difference from the last ones I ran on Beta (except 1/host wink ).
