Where are you from?

If you wish to see where from a cruncher is,
8 times out of 10 you'll be up for a disappointment.
I can see many good reasons for not stating one's
e-mail, but would there be any risk in stating a
country, a state or city, big or small?

In 1969 I took an oath to defend and protect the U S Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and Domestic. There was no expiration date.

Re: Where are you from?

I don't think so - but one has to fill it in... maybe it could be asked when registering (don't know anymore if it IS asked).

Hello, bjbdbest, nice to meet you.
Have you seen me swim?
biggrin
No, I'm not Ariel.
I'm a fairy tale character. Her life was pretty tragic.
Yes, I can see you're from the USA which is fine.
But I cannot see it unless I do it this way.
I have a habit
- good or bad I don't know, I'm curious -
of looking under the "Who's online" tab, and I shall not be able to see your pretty siggy there - only an index card.
A state added would be even finer - it's a big country -
and that you could add in "My Forum Profile" if you wish
because that great siggy should not be messed with.

Hi nanoprobe, nice to meet you.
Well, it's interesting, but a little foggy ...
More Earth bound: Sioux City, Woonsocket, Portland OR, or the real McCoy
would do just fine on your index card, I think, and satisfy my curiosity.

Hello macusen,
Nice to meet you, Neighbor.
You have put Germany down, which is over and above what most crunchers do.
And if you had not, I wouldn't have known we were neighbors!
If you click "My Forum Profile" you will also have the option of filling in a city, if you wish.

Re: Where are you from?

Hi PecosRiverM,
Pleased to meet you
My imagination bade me to think you had a cattle farm in the Pecos River area,
so there you go: Dallas/Fort Worth. Life is full of surprises.
smile
I have been there. A long, long time ago.
Grassy Knoll. Gold houses. Plano, "Southfork". JFK was shot when I turned 18.
Did you like Amsterdam? Seen from a Texan point of view its very close to "my neck of the woods"
- and it is. A few hours by car.
If you take a peak at the Base Camp team thread you will find a few touristy items.
If I cannot find anything else to be a chatterbox about, I'll run such an item.
Well, getting a little off topic here.

I think it means something to quite a few of us to be able to place our fellow crunchers on a map.

Like your hat and coffee signature.
What does it mean?
OT again ....
