I have uninstalled BOINC Manager and installed. Version 7.2.47. Windows 10.
Still I cannot fetch work units. I get the following messages: 2015-11-02 23:20:57 | World Community Grid | Scheduler request failed: Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with given CA certificates 2015-11-02 23:20:58 | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site 2015-11-02 23:21:00 | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down. What can I do to get back on track? Regards, Joakim |

Hi,
I have 'SSL connect error' on three older Ubuntu machines, the older Ubuntu versions prevents me to install latest BOINC software (library errors etc.). Is there any solution for these kind of machines, besides moving them to a different project? |

Hi, I have 'SSL connect error' on three older Ubuntu machines, the older Ubuntu versions prevents me to install latest BOINC software (library errors etc.). Is there any solution for these kind of machines, besides moving them to a different project? I was able to fix the SSL error by upgrading Ubuntu from 10.04 to 12.04. BOINC will get automatically upgraded to 7.0.27 using the standard repositories. http://baudlabs.com/how-to-install-updates-in-ubuntu-via-command-line-cli/ |

Hello everybody!
----------------------------------------I have "Scheduler request failed: SSL connect error" on 3 servers in Domain (boinc-client 5.10.45). Is it diagnosed and not cured? ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by Volodymyr Goroshko at Nov 18, 2015 2:30:18 PM] |

You really, really need to update the ssl libs/certs as SHA256 is now required or upgrade the client altogether [seems 7.6.9 or so does on DCs]. Read this thread to find the various ways to upgrade your domain controllers.

I still tried to find a way to update the client, but difficulties arise when installing any new version. Separately install certificates also failed because an unsupported platform or something. Maybe suggest some software of which install needed certificates?
----------------------------------------P.S. May have to import the certificate (from WCG server), which is verification? There is a possibility? ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by Volodymyr Goroshko at Nov 18, 2015 3:06:44 PM] |
