...Orrrrr, you skip the problem altogether by upgrading to the 'release candidate' 7.6.29, which just ignores any stuck slideshow files that fail to download [not mission critical!] Win 32 bit: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_7.6.29_windows_intelx86.exe Win 64 bit: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_7.6.29_windows_x86_64.exe Mac (7.6.31) OS-X http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_7.6.31_macOSX_x86_64.zip Darwin http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_7.6.31_x86_64-apple-darwin.zip Lnx (no Berkeley build available... get it at LocutusofBorg PPA). Android: There's no newer build than 7.4.41 [absent a developer] **. There are Vbox builds of 7.6.29, but this is N/A for WCG. ** Recently the Android release was updated to 7.4.43 [don't know if that one also solves the problem. Berkeley is currently offering 7.6.22 as recommended; WCG is offering 7.2.47.

You're commenting on a 2 month old state of the situation post. No you don't have to do anything. Those with 7.6.33, the latest RC1, but on 7.6.29 or up are sure not to encounter this problem.
