confused How's that possible?

Just find out a user has 16 years run time with 2.4 million results return.
That means nearly 3 mins 30 secs per task.
Even a high end OC CPU with HT off couldn't do that.

Re: How's that possible?

Thanks, deltavee!
So they're probably using cluster running 9 thousands VMs.
And according to Shaky Jake some of the valid tasks running on Linux VM will return 0 run time. Therefore the Total Run time isn't the actual time they spent. That make sense.

Re: How's that possible?

Just found out that a new member from The Netherlands joined WCG yesterday: WCW.saHACKra. After one day this new member already takes up the Dutch number one spot of the day (https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/vi...points&countryCode=NL), thereby beating member NifHACK today, who scored 500,000 points yesterday alone.
 	Username: Points Generated:
WCW.saHACKra 401,084
NifHACK 347,077

Striking feature: they both have "HACK" in their names, both being puns.
Good to see they're contributing in an outstanding way.

Re: How's that possible?

Just found out that this guy that you are talking about "WCW.saHACKra" has whizzed passed me in the dutch all-time rankings on his 4th day on the grid. I've been at it for almost 9 years d oh.
His credit from yesterday was 4th worldwide.

Re: How's that possible?

He's part of DPC... and pushed the stampeding cows to global 5-6-7th spot for the various rankings.

Re: How's that possible?

Cool! I now know who these guys are, both NifHACK and saHACKra. As they operate under slightly cryptic names I won't disclose it here. Knowing who they are I'm not surprised they have some serious cpu power!

Re: How's that possible?

Whilst I am pleased that so much raw and awesome power has been boarded I wish there were a small suite of statistical views whereby rankings could be displayed more equitably. eg: Active and excluding Dormant; Industrial giants; Individual independents. As if apples could be compared to apples and .... like to like
